More and more people I know are consuming some form of bone broth these days. I’ve not yet developed a taste for it myself, and yet I know it is very good for us to consume. Here’s a recipe for egg drop bone broth, from over on the Holistic Pharmacist site, which might make it more appealing if you’re like me and want to like bone broth but aren’t liking it yet.
Egg Drop Bone Broth Recipe
The Benefits of Bone Broth, these curative components of bone broth play vital roles in gut health, immune system support, healthy bones and joints, smooth skin and overall healing.
I love to add bone broth into as many places as I can soup, pasta sauce, smoothies, even my coffee! For a very light but nutrient-packed breakfast, often I make an easy version of Egg Drop Soup.
1 cup Organic Chicken Broth (salt-free) liquid
3/4 cup water
1/4 tsp Vogel’s Herbamare original salt & herb powder
1 scoop (15 gm) Prairie Naturals’ Chicken Bone Broth Powder
1 or 2 Organic Eggs
Chives, or other fresh herbs (optional)
Heat chicken broth and water on medium heat in a sauce pan. Add bone broth powder and mix it with a whisk for at least 30 seconds to help dissolve the powder. Increase heat enough to achieve a rolling boil. Crack eggs, add to the boiling liquid and cook till soft boiled, approximately 30 seconds. Pour into a wide-mouth cup, sprinkle with herbs and enjoy with a spoon.
